Hi, my name is Rendi Chevi!
I'm a first-year PhD Student at MBZUAI, advised by Tatsuki Kuribayashi, where I'm working at the intersection of natural language processing, psycholinguistics, and social computing.
Research Interests Particularly, I'm interested in studying how language in the media that we consume could enable or disable certain cognitive biases that influence our behavior and decision making.
I also love doing data visualization! I enjoy figuring out the visual elements that best narrate the stories behind our studies in a way that's meaningful and compelling for not only the subject-matter experts, but also the general readers.
Before Joining PhD I was a Research Associate (2023-2025) at Alham Fikri Aji's Lab, and a Research Scientist (2021-2023) at an Indonesian chatbot company, Kata.ai.
